Dr. Teresa Uscategui-Florez
Essex Ears was founded by Dr. Teresa Uscategui-Florez (MBBS, MRRCGP, DLO & HNS), who provides the service personally.
Dr. Uscategui has been qualified as a doctor and practicing medicine since 1990 and registered with the General Medical Council ( 5206396) in the UK since 2001. She has trained in Ear, Nose & Throat Surgery and she obtained a Diploma in Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons in 2006. Since 2010 she has been a GP (MRCGP) practicing in Essex. She maintains her expertise through professional practice and courses, and in 2019 completed a refresher course in aural care with the British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists.
Dr. Uscategui is originally from Colombia. She lives with her husband and two children. Prior to coming to the UK ,she had a variety of experiences, including studying French Literature at La Sorbonne (Paris) and working for Médecins Sans Frontières in Chechnya, Congo and Afghanistan
At home, she now enjoy outdoors activities such cycling and running, and has recently discovered the challenging world of triathlon.
