COVID-19 PANDEMIC
The safety of our patients ,their carers and our staff has been paramount for us during the COVID 19 pandemic. We have kept our covid secure measures in place this despite some changes made by the government.
Staff
As the clinician performing the microsuction procedure, I fully comply with NHS health and social care workers recommendations about covid 19 immunisation and regular testing . I am vaccinated against covid-19( two doses and a booster). I have been doing lateral flow testing twice a week since this was introduced .
Face covering
We will ask our patients when coming to their appointments to use a face covering before entering our clinics premises.
Hand sanitizer
We are still asked patients and their relative/carer to use the hand sanitiser place by the entrance to our clinics on arrival.
Social distancing
To reduce contact between patients, we have made our appointments longer and staggered so enough time is allowed to avoid large number of patients in the waiting area. Whilst waiting for your appointment, ensure you observe the two-meter distancing rule.
Your booking
During the booking by telephone, you will be asked few about covid-19 screening and you vaccination status.When your booking is made online, you will automatically receive an email to confirm your appointment. It contains one electronic form asking about your general health , ear problem and covid-19 status. Please make sure they are completed at least 24hr before your appointment is due.
Your appointment
When possible attend your appointment alone .However, if you need to have a relative, carer or friend with you, they are welcomed and will be asked to observe these rules too
PPE
Microsuction is an airborne procedure so the ENT UK recommends that full PPE must worn at all times during the procedure. All our hats, masks, gloves, aprons and gowns are disposable.
